Upper or lower blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure to remove excess skin or fat mainly from the upper eyelids, but also from the lower eyelids. This surgery corrects defects such as drooping upper eyelids, fat bags and dark circles that make the eyes look tired, sometimes interfering with vision. With blepharoplasty, it is also possible to change the shape of the eyes by lifting and/or repositioning the lateral corner of the eye (so-called canthoplasty and cantoplasty).
