Surgery is performed under locoregional anaesthesia with sedation in day surgery or general anaesthesia with an overnight hospital stay. The procedure lasts, on average, 40 minutes and requires a medical compression garment.

Postoperative care instructions

It is advisable to rest during the first 48 hours after surgery and, by the third day, you can restart your normal daily activities avoiding strenuous ones. If not overly tiring, most patients can return to work within a week, and, by four weeks, all normal activities can be resumed, including sports. The result is usually very good and long lasting.
