Used for many years now, the cosmetic surgery technique of hair transplantation or follicular autotransplantation makes it possible to solve the problem of male and, in some cases, also female hair loss, by transferring a certain quantity of hair bulbs, from the patient himself, from one region of the scalp to another.
Most men lose their hair in the anterior and clerical area, as these areas are hormone-related. The posterior (nape) area, where hair loss occurs in very rare cases, is not subject to these conditions.
This is the area that hair surgeons call the donor area, genetically resistant to the advancing process of androgenetic alopecia. Follicular units from this area are, therefore, harvested and repositioned in the balding areas of the head.
Once transplanted, there is a guarantee that the hair will not fall out.
